Investments Direct Anniversary
I started Investments Direct about 4 years ago in 2000 during internet bubble period. The idea of site was to write interesting articles relating to investment. I write all of the articles myself.
Most of the articles were written in 2000 while writing “Seeing Through Fog- A guide to Investing.” Book has still not been published, but is available for download from this site. I am interested in having book published but haven’t made much of an effort to get publisher to publish it. If anyone is in publishing business and wants to work something out, send me an email.
Since 2000, I have been writing the articles mostly for myself and putting them online for others to read as well. I have received emails from people that have read my articles and had things to say about them.
Some of my articles have actually been used as resources in school papers which is quite flattering.
Articles were written using html template system and uploaded to server. Now, in 2004 I’m switching over to a database backed system which will allow me to write articles and get them up much faster with fewer mistakes.
New system will also allow for readers to post their articles as well. If you want to post your articles, or commentary on articles, you will be able to now. Send me an email if you need help.
Some ideas I have is to post section where readers can post their stories about their best/worst investments. Also, a section where people can post businesses they have for sale or need investment in. Besides this, there will be forum and chat on site.
