Recent Financial Problems- BigStore and Quantex Computer
BigStore.com is closing its doors shortly after opening. The companies founder, Robert McNulty is now facing lawsuits and many angry customers. The company had a loss-leader strategy where they had prices marked below cost in order to gain customers.
Recent discussions on Cnet show that the financial problems go back a while. I personally tried ordering something from them back in May and after they didn’t ship it out within 48hours, I called and canceled the order and didn’t loose anything. More recent customers haven’t been so fortunate and may never see their money again. Their website http://www.thebigstore.com is no longer active.
